Biographical Sketch
I have traveled an interesting path on my way to becoming a life coach, workshop facilitator, and motivational speaker. My motto – “Life Is a Do-Over” – describes my own process of discovering my true skills and gifts and redesigning my life to better fit the person I had become.
After graduating cum laude from Occidental College in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in political science, I attended Hastings College of Law and graduated in 1985 with my juris doctorate. Sworn in as a member of the California State Bar in 1985, I began my legal career as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles, working as a criminal prosecutor and appellate attorney.
In early 1990, I moved to the central coast of California and was hired as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Luis Obispo, where I worked for eight years as an in-house municipal attorney. While continuing trial work, I also provided advice and counsel all City Departments as well as to the Planning Commission and City Council. I also became involved in the San Luis Obispo Community Theater, acting in several productions and serving on the Board of Directors.
In 1998, I realized that I was ready for some significant life changes. No longer fulfilled by the practice of law, I could feel the winds of change blowing through my. While enjoying an extended cross-country RV trip with my husband, I serendipitously discovered the profession of life coaching and knew this would be my new career. I graduated from the two-year training program at Coach U and began sharing the lessons and strategies I had learned for making better life choices. The final piece fell into place when I found my new home amidst the spectacular red rocks & mountains of southern Utah.
I feel so fortunate to have created a life that allows me to combine my passion for personal growth with my talent for connecting with people and inspiring them to live their best lives. It truly is a wonderful life!
